I just switched over to Brighthouse from DirectTV, mostly due to cost. You can't beat the price for the TV, phone, and internet bundles. Plus, I don't have to worry about the signal going from 99.5% to nothing every time a storm rolls in from the southwest. I liked the channel selection better on DTV, but it was costing me over $100/mo for one HD receiver, total choice package, and another analog tv that I already owned the box outright for. If you don't mind the extra cost, I'd go with DirectTV. Just make sure that you have a very stable mount point and an absolutely clear view of the southwest sky. No trees, houses, or even power lines between your antenna and the satellite.
I have had everything. comcast service was bad. also kept going up in price. Went back to Sat. with direct. Had them here and Tenn. I can honestly say we have only lost the picture during a real "frog strangler". good quality pic-hi def great. I will stay with direct until someone offers a great deal $$$ price wise. We also have internet tv. Net flix etc. thats great also.
