Been a lot going on in my life the last few months, and I put my own health on the back burner. I gotta make some changes now or it is gonna get serious the older I get
A year ago I had my numbers in line. I haven't taken any of my meds in like 3 months.
Cholesterol 280
triglycerides 700
BP 145/100
sugar elevated
Was told to cut out sugar and starches, SALT :nono cut back on the pork butts.
Gotta cut out the Crown and the Miller's for a while, get my lardass off the couch and lose some damn weight. I am actually disgusted how much weight I have put on recently
This was sort of a wake up call for me today

Been there dropped my cholesterol by going on the atkins diet. Stopped smoking. Oh and the big one is no more full flavor beer.
Yep i break that rule. But i do drink more mic ultra now. A suggestion doesn't sound like much but will work with diet is walk first thing in the morning. Need 15 minutes one mile. If you can do this during your lunch and after work.
The walking will make you lose about 20-30 lbs over 6 month. If you do the strict part of the atkins diet you lose 20 lbs in the first mount. Then go one the weight maintenance of the atkins that's allot of veggies and lean meat.

I been kinda laid up since the auto crash and my weight shot up to 265. atkins dropped it to 240 stopped it and now 2 months later i am at 245 not walking trying just fell broken this morning.

Back 2 years ago I did the Atkins diet for a while. I was hunting public land where i was climber packing it in a mile, going to the gym 4 days a week.
I was down to 200, good cardio health, and actually was putting on muscle and felt like I could wrassle a grizzly bear. Even had to go buy new clothes
Now Ive let myself go and am pushing 240. I will get back there again
