I went to church last night anyhow. It was still full of water but was low enough to back out of the driveway. You can see the waterline where the pine straw is up in the grass in my yard. They county finally came out and around 10pm and unclogged the drain culvert a bit last night. They were out this morning when I left for work with a bigger truck. Looks like it was full of pine straw.

One thing Dad taught me was never buy a house in a hole. Like the people that buy a house next to a sewage tx plant, then complain about the smell. Sorry but if you get flooded out every year, OR MORE, year after year? That's your decision & I hope the location is worth it during the dry times. I did convert to salt in December, do it myself and avg much less than 55$ a month, ON AN AVG MONTH. I was kinda exaggerating.

Nah, my house is up on a hill and I don't get water inside. This is the road below. Problem was and is, the drain culverts get clogged by all the pine straw from all the pines in the neighborhood. I have observed my neighbor across the street blowing straw in there with his blower. I need to go over and thump him on the head when I see it next time... :sailor
