I use the Square deally too. I charge 4% to accept cards. You can also manually input the card info into your phone or on your comp at the office. No hidden fees at all. Money is usually in the acount right away. In the beginning it took a few days to show up but it's fine now. I've had some pretty big payments come through but they take a couple days to clear usually. I never took cards before cause I wasn't paying a fee but am glad I started. I've been able to get some deadbeats to pay by just giving me their card info over the phone and not having to actually show their face at the office to give me a check. I have 1 for my office phone and I keep 1 in my truck. Give it a shot Allen. It won't cost you a thing if you don't like it.

Looks like my company may be doing something with Square as well. Sorry if I sounded like I was poo pooing your idea. After reading about it some more, it looks like a lot of businesses should use this.
They should use these at restaurants so that your card never leaves your hand. It would cut down on a lot of fraud by deviant/dishonest servers.

I use pay pal in mine and they have a swipe for it now also. I use a iPad for the swipe. There are a lot of people using them now. Even the hotdog venders has the swipe to his phone. I feel a little scared with the phones but it is becoming the norm.
Be safe

I understand it cost a little more if you don't have the card and can't swipe it.Just something I read in the fine print also a little more for larger monies.I am still getting one for my business.
