I'm down 30lb's still got 30-40 more to go. Trying to lose it before season starts.

I'm a solid 207 now. I still eat like crap but stay active and weight train 2-4x wk as usual. I'd rather quit dipping snuff than lose weight these days so that's what I'm working towards.

Looks like I dropped 6 pounds in 9 days. I think I would have lost more, but we were on vacation. I didn't eat too badly(except for a massive pizza one night), but I drank copious amounts of beer and booze. Got back on it Sunday afternoon and am doing well. I really should see an improvement this week

Eating healthier and not picking up junk. Funny thing is I haven't been hungry at all by eating better

Tomorrow I start my new "lifestyle" (i also agree with nacho's remarks regarding "diet").

7am appointment at the doctor to get a checkup, which I haven't had since high school (graduated in 1996...you do the math).

I'm 5' 10", 253 lbs and probably 35-40% body fat. I'm a stocky build, so at 10% body fat I'd probably weigh approx 175 lbs.

So I've got 70-80 lbs to lose. If I can AVERAGE 1 lb a week for the next year and a half, i'll be happy.

At the dr appointment tomorrow they'll check my cholesterol, blood pressure, heart rate...etc.

I'll take measurements and post up all the "before" measurements and numbers.

I'm only 33 yrs old, so I shouldn't be so fat....now is the time to change!

Had my dr appointment today, won't know results of blood work for a couple days.
So my blood pressure is 130/80, not too bad but definitely don't want it to get any worse. Resting heart rate was 71 bpm, not too bad.

Official starting weight: 253

Will post weekly updates here to my progress!

3 week Update:

237 lbs (-16 lbs), BP is 126/72

Forgot about this until i saw it today.

Current stats: 218 lbs (-35 lbs), BP is 100/70 (starting was 130/80), and resting heart rate is 58 (starting was 71).

My goal is to be 199 by August 31st.

Had my follow up with dr yesterday. Now, keep in mind I had blood drawn the day before I started my diet.

Total cholesterol 215
Triglycerides 420
Fasting sugar 127
Numbers are probably slightly better now than they were 2 weeks ago.

He upped my cholesterol meds to 20mg Crestor from 10mg. Also put me on a glucophage (Metformin) for type 2 diabetes. Go back in 2 weeks for a basic lipid/metabolic panel bloodwork and follow up

Also found out that my BP is running better than I thought it was. Apparently my battery operated machine is skewed high.
