and was 232 lbs 6'5" .
Joined the guard as soon as I got out and
Now I am 40 years old and 285 lbs still 6'5"
I plan to hit the gym and get down to 250 lbs that's my comfort weight.
Good luck to everyone its not easy..

Think im getting fatter lol. When i was single i was losing weight. Now its the opposite.

Same scenario here for me. All the good food I can eat and I haven't picked up a weight since Halloween because I'm always with my GF.

Figure this would be motivation for some of us to get back in shape.
Post up your starting weight and pants size. Update every Monday

Started June 30th
5'10"
Weight 237
Pants 38"

** July 5**
weight 233

A year later and I am the same exact weight. I did Atkins diet for a bit last year and knocked off 20 pounds. Then in the early fall my mom got sick and my eating habits went to hell and a hand basket, put all the weight back on.
Instead of "dieting" this time around, I am going to look at a little differently. I got motivation from a guy on another forum who eliminated sugar from his diet and dropped a ton of weight. I am not a huge sweet eater, but eat a lot of stuff that has sugars in it(bread/rice/taters/ice cream, etc). I think changing my eating habits just a bit, this will work
Hardest part, and probably my most contributing factor to my weight is eliminating beer. I drink beer every day and that is just unnecessary calories. Not gonna quit drinking, just save it for the weekends. hell, if I can quit a can a day dipping habit, I can cut out sugar and beer during the week. Should be a piece of cake and am already looking forward to it.
So here we go..
Cutting out sugar
beer during week
eat leaner meat and more veggies
cut out starches and high carbohydrate foods

Already began this morning, ate a lot better and feel great

Just yesterday, my wife and I decided to start getting in shape again/drop some weight. We choose July 9 as the start date and will hit it pretty hard to begin with. I am looking to drop +/- 15 lbs before hunting season gets here. Cutting out the cold ones until the weekend will be the hardest part but I have come up with a number of small projects to tackle after I get home from work, I am hoping this will help with the battle. Good luck, we all need it.........
