Those trigylcerides look like you had thrown back a few beers before heading into the dr the next day. I made that mistake once, they told me not to eat, didn't say nothing about drinking. Was downing a few bourbon the night before..my were off the chart too.
makes me feel outta place guys, 5'10'' @170. Could be worse, my brother (older by 5 years) is 5'9'' @120lbs, rather have alittle meat on the bones then a twig. figure aslong as i dont have to buy new pants (32) my extra chunk is fine, if i cant, time to cut back
those trigs are high. you've seen what I look like and mine are 66, should be less than 155. they are just #'s but shouldn't be totaly ignored. there are good fats and bad fats, goods like avocado, salmon, and yes bacon, bad = beef etc, you need to know which are which. it takes fat to burn fat. with cholesterol it's the ratio of good (hdl) to bad (ldl) that really matters. just stay active and everyone pretty much knows what to do and not do it's just a matter of doing it.
I've stuck with this diet pretty well so far. Yesterday afternoon hunger caught up with me. We went to Hooter's and I pigged out(still refrained from beer and fries). Last night I had the worst acid reflux attack known to mankind. I was dying on the floor and my wife had the TV on loud upstairs and couldn't hear me screaming for her to bring me some damn water.
Haven't had a beer in over a week now. I think I felt better when I ate pork butts and junk and was shit faced drunk.

I am feeling your pain, I decided to go hardcore for the 1st week. I haven't had any alcohol or meat for the last week :taz . I can say I am sleeping better but damn, not having a few beers after working in the yard about killed me yesterday afternoon. I had the urge the throw back a couple during the week as well. I have to preoccupy myself with some project to keep my mind off of it. If I can make it to 8pm without having something to drink, its all down hill after that. I am going to try and make it one more week before I start introducing meat again and try to keep the drinking to the weekends. Chicken and fish to start...no beer or mixed drinks, just whiskey on the rocks.... No promises though. Good luck to everyone else out there. :toast
