My friend was the same way when he joined the marines, they put him on double rations. He said they made him go to the front of the cow line so he would have time to eat.

Tomorrow I start my new "lifestyle" (i also agree with nacho's remarks regarding "diet").
7am appointment at the doctor to get a checkup, which I haven't had since high school (graduated in 1996...you do the math).
I'm 5' 10", 253 lbs and probably 35-40% body fat. I'm a stocky build, so at 10% body fat I'd probably weigh approx 175 lbs.
So I've got 70-80 lbs to lose. If I can AVERAGE 1 lb a week for the next year and a half, i'll be happy.
At the dr appointment tomorrow they'll check my cholesterol, blood pressure, heart rate...etc.
I'll take measurements and post up all the "before" measurements and numbers.
I'm only 33 yrs old, so I shouldn't be so fat....now is the time to change!
Had my dr appointment today, won't know results of blood work for a couple days.
So my blood pressure is 130/80, not too bad but definitely don't want it to get any worse. Resting heart rate was 71 bpm, not too bad.Official starting weight: 253

quess I need to join in on this thread.Had Doc. apt the other day,was not good.my good cl went down the bad cl went up and sugar was at the point doc said one more point higher and its dibetic meds.anyway he did put me on cl meds.damn stuff is over $200 a month and insurance wont cover it. cheaper to die :taz :taz :hang
Dave, all three of us in my house are on medicines. If I told you what we spend a year on medicines/co-pays you would fall out of your chair. We are on a high deductible plan thru wifes work. Pharm companies are raping Americans w/o any lube at all
