Injuries suck! That's what got me over the years, knee and back injuries. Once you reach a certain age, it's even harder to recover. Glad to see you're able to get back in shape now, and best of luck maintaining it. Ten years from now you'll be glad you did!
nice job Fishordie! Now that you are at your weight goal, focus more on body fat percetage. At 6 ft tall and 185 lbs you'd be a BEAST at 10-15% body fat!
Tomorrow I start my new "lifestyle" (i also agree with nacho's remarks regarding "diet").
7am appointment at the doctor to get a checkup, which I haven't had since high school (graduated in 1996...you do the math).
I'm 5' 10", 253 lbs and probably 35-40% body fat. I'm a stocky build, so at 10% body fat I'd probably weigh approx 175 lbs.
So I've got 70-80 lbs to lose. If I can AVERAGE 1 lb a week for the next year and a half, i'll be happy.
At the dr appointment tomorrow they'll check my cholesterol, blood pressure, heart rate...etc.
I'll take measurements and post up all the "before" measurements and numbers.
I'm only 33 yrs old, so I shouldn't be so fat....now is the time to change!
Had my dr appointment today, won't know results of blood work for a couple days.
So my blood pressure is 130/80, not too bad but definitely don't want it to get any worse. Resting heart rate was 71 bpm, not too bad.
Official starting weight: 253
Will post weekly updates here to my progress!
Guess my weight in the picture.
WOW Nacho
that was small For me when i played soccer, football, ran track, played basket ball i was 170 + in 8th grade . You know i did not fight much most backed down
I think i have my diet worked out. I done the Atkins and i would always fell way better. I think it may be gluten. I have been gluten free for about 2 week and feel a bit better. Bloating gas gut cramps are pretty much gone. I don't like the thought of the test to see it your allergic. The best or most accurate is a small intestine biopsy
the food was so bad at my school I ended up weighing in college what I did in jr high. wound up leaving the campus/food service and learning to hunt and cook the hard way.
