I can't remember if your house is under a canopy of trees or not. But if it is and you need to get up there occasionally to blow it off, you might want to rethink the metal. It is very difficult to walk on. And if leaves stay on it, it wall cause rust spots. We have a metal roof on the Steinhatchee house and I have to clean it regularly, and there is rust in one of the valleys where leaves bank up

I removed one big live oak that was over the roof and dumped a ton of leaves in the gutters. plus was afraid of a branch falling or slapping on the roof. direct sunlight has cleared up mildew, but don't have the shade. only 2 valleys on the whole roof, in the front and relatively easy to get to.

I used to have bad cell reception with the existing barrel tiles with ATT, switched to verizon, no problems. good point to consider thanks. also hope it doesn't attract/conduct electricity as we are in a high spot and have had close hits already.

Up at our place in steinhatchee, we have to go outside to use the cell phones. We are in the middle of 2 cell towers, 6 miles each direction.
