So yesterday I noticed mid morning the fridge wasn't that cold. (This is a side by side with freezer on one side).I didn't pay much attention to it until We get home last night and after dinner I go to the fridge to get me a big gulp of buttermilk, and realize there is a problem. Fridge wasn't warm, but not cold either. I would say cool at best. Matter of fact all the glass jars inside had condensation on them from warming up. The little dial goes from 0-9 for temp adjusting. It was set on 7

I turned it up to 9 and went about my business.I waited a few minutes and I never heard the compressor kick on. So we took everything out of the fridge and shoved it in the garage fridge, assuming it has a problem. Left it on 9 setting overnight.
Get up this morning and the fridge is ice cold and the compressor is running. I turn it back down to 7 and head off to work pretty early this morning
I get back to house a bit ago and fridge is still ice cold, but compressor is still running wide open.

Should I be worried about it or just toss it up a s a fluke and let it go?

Keep an eye on it, it's a shame to loose a fridge full of food. Like you said it may have been just a fluke but it did happen once and you probably will look sideways at it for a while! My shop fridge started acting up and we ended up replacing it by getting Momma a new one for the kitchen and I got the old one in the shop. Treefarmer

I got a repair man coming tomorrow. So far it is (both sides) ice cold, but the compressor has yet to cut off. I am afraid it will burn up. I will feel better about having it checked it out

Its the fan that moves the cold air from the freezer to the fridge.
