Thank you Dave, and everyone

Today was not a good day at all. Major setback. At this point, its in the hands of modern medicine, and God. And frankly, I think its out of medicines hands now.

Update on mom:

I'm sure yall are tired of hearing about this, but here's an update:

Mom was moved last night to a long term acute care hospital. (Not a nursing home, just a hospital that caters to patients who require a longer stay). I am completely pissed with the way it was handled, as it was a surprise to us, and I honestly think it was a medical setback to mom the way she was shuffled late at night(I have a written complaint ready to submit Monday in person).

Anyway, she is settled and trying to adjust to the new facility. Its a longer drive for us to visit(16 miles one way).

Deer are out of control up that way.I literally saw one get hit, saw another that had been hit and they were loading car on flatbed, and almost hit a buck at 1145 PM.

Went to visit this morning. Mom was exhausted. She kicked me out to go spend time with my family, and she wanted to rest

Still a long/painful/tiring road ahead of us. At this point I am really not sure if she is getting better or worse to be honest

the medical system blows right now. my grampa was released at 10:45 pm on a friday night after being in the hospital for a week. he hasnt seen that time of night in 20yrs. i hope your letter reaches someone who can do something about such, and i hope your mom pulls through.

I've seen em put people that can't walk, with dementia into cabs and send them to a home alone with no money, food or way to care for themselves. the cab drivers may or may not help em into the house. sounds fishy if they discharged/transferred her without telling anybody.
