My wife is an awesome cook,unfortunately her work schedule does not permit her to cook very often. She also can bake,every fall she bake coffers cakes,sweet rolls,and stuff like that from scratch. Makes a giant mess but its worth it.
Everyone talks about the wifes not reading fohaf, and my wife doesn't either but if anyone was to ask her she would agree that I tell everyone including her that if she couldn't have cooked I wouldn't have married her. That is one thing that I have always said was that if ya cain't cook ya ain't for me. My wife is a goodddd cook! It's just as hard as hell to get her to cook...Lol

my wife is actually a ex professional chef. She makes some awesome food. My friends call me a cook there always happy for me to have a BBQ. I am just picky because i never been to a restaurant that can cook better than we can at home.
I should probably go back and defend my wife. There are certain things she cooks that are fabulous. Her traditional lasagna is the best I have ever eaten anywhere. I've told her many times over there are millions of Italians that would be proud of it. I think her issue is she tries to follow recipes too much. Not to toot my own horn, but I think I have a talent when it comes to cooking. I will read a recipe and just go from there my own way with it. She follows them to a "T", and quite frankly, a lot of times the recipes are wrong. Plus some of the recipes she tries out just aren't that good if they were cooked by Nigella Lawson or Giada.
There is a plantain lasagna from the caribbean. It made with sweet plantains instead of noodles.
At first i was hmmmm but i could not stop eating it definitely something i never thought of before.
