unfortunately this will be my last post about grampa. he did not make it to his birthday. he went to be with the lord and my grandma this morning about 9:40 or so. i was not with him but i had just left him about 30 minutes earlier after giving him a bath and trying to get him to eat and drink. he went peacefully and as comfortable as he could be. i was able to say my goodbyes by about 11:30. 10 days short of 91 yrs my grampa led a hell of a life! A merchant marine during ww2, a pitchman, an entrepreneur and business owner. he will be missed greatly by us. thanks for your words of encouragement and prayers over the last couple years. rest in peace grampa when i join you we will go fishing for sure!

May have been your last post about your Grampa, but you certainly have some great memories of him and from following your updates you did a great job taking care of him, right up to the end. Relish those good times!
