He had some angels watching over him! Glad he wasn't injured any worse than he was, for his sake and his family's.

Those big Suburbans can take a hit, but I'd be surprised if there isn't some frame damage/twisting, plus as Pochop7 said, the door post will need to be pulled. At least he won't have trouble getting parts. Plus it looks like a lot of the glass is intact. Depending on the size of the deer he missed, he may have gotten away with less damage in the rollover. I've seen some nasty damage done to vehicles that hit big deer.

Glad to hear he is alive. Sounds like his family's black clouds have silver linings to them. I hit a coyote head on over a year ago in my 08 Rabbit (there is a picture on this forum somewhere), it caused $2300 in damages. Not to mention the rental car and airfare to get back to my car. Had a car to my left and right. Luck of the draw, my car was the one that took him out.

Glad he is OK. 1995 IMO is the best year Suburban to have (last year of the TBI). The wife has a 4x4 1995 GMC Suburban and we love it. I always here people say the Suburbans are not as safe as the crumple cars but I do not believe it.
