wheeeeuuuuw that is good news!!! 🙂
Glad there has been improvement. We'll keep praying for her.
getting released tomorrow to rehab for a week or so
Well,
What we thought was going to be a week or so turned into two months. We get to bring mom home tomorrow!!!. We (the immediate family) convinced her to stay as long as medicare would allow and go thru the rehab and get as strong as possible. Turns out it was the right decision. She is stronger and healthier now than she has been in well over a year. We have planned this womans funeral twice in the last year(literally were told twice she wouldn't make it). Now she is eating well, taking all her meds, vitals and blood work are better than mine, and a sight we didn't ever think we would see again....she is up walking. Granted she won't win any marathons, has to use a walker and has to have someone beside her..but she is by Gawd walking. Probably one of the happiest moments I have had yesterday when I watched her walk all the way down the hallway at the rehab center.
Any time I think I can't do something, I just think what this woman has been thru the last year. She literally has slapped the grim reaper right in the face
First thing she said she is going to do when she gets home tomorrow is have a damn beer!!!!!!
:rockon :rockon :rockon
I'll drink to that! congrats to Mom and best wishes. make sure it's nice and frosty, but drink it slowly.
I am glad to hear it. That woman has some grit....I'd buy the 1st round if I was there.
