Praying for your mom. I know she appreciates all you are doing for her, and feels the love. After all, that's what it's all about, letting her know you love her and doing your best to take care of her. That's all you can do, the rest is up to the Lord.

Today has not been a good day. She had 2 successful surgeries this week, which went well. We thought everything was going to be good after that. However she is battling something else we never saw coming. She has developed dementia in the last few days that is baffling the doctors. All tests are showing nothing significantly wrong. Actually all tests, stats and vitals are normal(for an old person anyway). She has Been talking to her mother all day today(she died 14 years ago) and having delusions. Imagining things that aren't there or true. Before I left a while ago she asked me if I was her doctor...

This crap is ripping me apart

Thank you so much for this tidbit. Gives me something intelligent to bring up to drs tomorrow. Wednesday, she had a simple kidney stone surgery. Thursday, she had a stomach feeding tube placed. Since Thursday she has degraded a bit each day. Today being the worst. Before that she was pretty sharp mentally for an elderly woman. SInce then she has gone cookoo (for lack of better term)
