Its so stupid. Every year to i have to do so much stuff to keep my buisness running. And its mainly in pinellas county. Just to work in pinellas county you have to:
1. Renew your workmans comp ex every 2 years $50.00
1. Take 14 Hour "Ongoing Educaation" course Every Year $100-200.00
1. Renew your license Every Year $150.00
If you lapse on your insurance even a late payment $150.00 Fine.
If you pay your renewal late for your license $150.00 Fine.
Dam this is crazy. Well im allways up to date and pay all my fees. But Comon man. This ungoing education course is stupid. I do Wood and Laminate Flooring Installations and Refinishing for a living. Its my company. Why in the hell do i gotta know how to put up trusses? or roofing.? Yep you gotta take a test on stuff you dont even do!!.. LOL

IN Jersey you pay the 350 one time fee an dyour licensed. all you gotta do is pay your taxes and accountant fees like anywhere els.
Funny thing its only in PINELLAS COUNTY. in hillsboro county for what i do you can go every year and pay 20 bucks for an occupational license and your done! I guess pinessas county wants to weed out the Git R Done Contractors who do shabby work and rob customers.
SOry had to vent.. lol.. 12 more hours to go online courses :big eyes:
That sucks that there is so much to do for the honest guy.
well it does weed out the "bob the builders" but then the "bob the builders" under bid and i still cant win.
They can do that because they are saving so much time and money by not doing this crap. :die:
