im hoping the paint is the most costly part of the project. im afraid the engine will need a chunk of change too though.

If you have a place to shoot it, I could help you lay it down. Take me about ten minutes of practice on an old fender or something and I'd be back in the spray groove!

Pull the motor, pressure wash the engine bay and degrease it, then spray it with undercoating. Same with the frame and undercarriage. Unless you're looking to restore it and make it a show Jeep, there's some parts, like floor pans, that it's cheaper to just buy some sheet metal and form it then weld it in. Once it's in place, you put a coat of etching or epoxy primer on it (do that with all exposed metal) then shoot some epoxy paint like Zolatone ( http://www.zolatoneaim.com/ ) on it. Get some heavy rubber floor mats and then when you go out muddin', all you have to do is pull out the mats and hose down the interior!

yeah, i dont have to pull the motor or pull anything else. its completely apart with the exception of the axles and wheels which are still attached to the frame. aside from that, it is all in rubbermaid tubs, buckets and milk crates
