OK, I guess I ain't doing as well as most of you guys, but she's paid for and runs fine! I've had it just over a year, bought it for my son but it was costing him too much in gas, so I swapped trucks with him and let him have my '96 Mazda B2300.

1992 Dodge Dakota 4x4 V8 Ext Cab with 227,000 miles!

I'm debating whether to put the time in to tear down the engine and rebuild it, and maybe fix the dents and paint it.

Yeah, it's a blessing not to have payments. I own 4 vehicles and don't owe a dime on any of them, and they are all pretty dependable and haven't needed any major maintenance. Well, except for my wife's 2004 Kia Optima. Mechanically the car is fantastic, but she beats the hell out of that car. The stereotype that Asians can't drive well is NOT a myth!

if i had a place to work on my scrambler i would start putting her together, she has been sitting for a long time 🙁 also takes money. i bought it before my son was born with good intentions and big plans. if you have some experience and some good advice im here to listen.

It's a lot easier to fix one when you have the shop, the tools and someone else's money to spend! Been over 10 years since I was in that business, and about the only thing I have now (besides some memories and scars) are some paint guns and a couple of air tools. They haven't been used in over 7 years, which is when I painted my last boat.
