I actually had the knockout game played on me in Sanford Florida..... well sorta.
This was many years ago. Back when I was dumb and assumed society was still civil. I was out at night jogging, which I normally did in the small town I came from. Two guys came up from behind me. One was shorter than me, but much more muscular and the other was tall and skinny. The short one came up in front of me and pretended like he knew me. I knew it was a distraction so I turned to my right to look behind me. As soon as I did turn.... BAMMMMM!!! hit in the face with a brick. Butsted a couple of teeth..
I went straight down, but jumped back up. My exact words have to edited for the forum but they basically were "what in the FUDGE!! If you want money? I got no cash, take a credit card and spend the night on me, I'll call the bank in the morning MALE ORGAN HEADS!" The called me a foul name for a rectum and left. I don't know that I would be that brave to yell back. I'm older and out of shape.
I do remember calling the cops and the Sanford police told me it was my fault for running at night... even refused to fill out a report because I was "wasting their time"
Thus, being that it happened in Sanford, I was kinda partial to the Zimmerman case.
