tractor supply sells some animal shots, meds and syringes. but for the rabies tag you gotta get it from a vet.
yeah kennel cough is for real and you need bordatella vacc if shes gonna be around other dogs, it can be given by a nasal spray. theres a place in bkvl called petluv.org 352-799-9990, that give routine shots/labs at very reasonable prices. took my 2 brits there recently and saved over $100 per dog, for the works : rabies/distemper, bordatella heartworm test, heartworm and flea/tick meds. hours aren't great and can be long lines but will save you a bundle. maybe theyhave something similar closer to you.

Kennel cough I think usually runs it's course like the flu does in people. It shouldn't cost that much to treat it. It's very common and I have never heard of it being lethal.
