speaking of shots. i read some bad stuff about vacc from tsc. It was in Texas but they said that if the vacc has got hot for to long it becomes toxic instead of keeping them cold all the time or if not hot to long, they just lose their strength
That can happen anywhere,that's what I think happened to mine. If a store clerk sets the shots outside the cooler for ten minutes they can go bad.You have to make sure they are always refrigerated. Keeping a pack of hounds ain't cheap,especially if you have to take them all to vets for shots. I never go to dog kennels but I know what you mean. Everyone wants there cut.
My dog just had kennel cough last week and I thought she was trying to cough up a volkswagon. Had her in the kennel the week before, no problem, and shes vaccinated but caught it anyway....sounded real bad....took her to the vet....182 dollars, two shots, two bottles of antibiotics later.....shes fine now.....but man I mean hacking and throwing up and everything non stop for about four or five days.....real pleasant....
yeah kennel cough is for real and you need bordatella vacc if shes gonna be around other dogs, it can be given by a nasal spray. theres a place in bkvl called petluv.org 352-799-9990, that give routine shots/labs at very reasonable prices. took my 2 brits there recently and saved over $100 per dog, for the works : rabies/distemper, bordatella heartworm test, heartworm and flea/tick meds. hours aren't great and can be long lines but will save you a bundle. maybe theyhave something similar closer to you.
