Man I gotta get to the Optometrist...after hitting 50, my vision has gone to heck in 2 yrs 🙁 Always have been half deaf though 🙂

Carlos, lenses tauric or not, will not correct your vision. The difference is the tauric ones are weighted so they sit differently on your eye. Supposedly thats what they say corrects it. Suregery would really be the only thing that actually corrects it. I find them uncomfortable and not worth the hassle of worrying which lense goes in to which eye. For right now my rx is the same for both eyes and a tauric lense is what my optometrist always pushes for my right eye only. It took my eyes almost a week to get use to them.
One thing that hurts like hell with contacts is when you get an eyelash stuck between your eyeball and lense. That shit hurts and if you can't work it out you have to take the lense out and get the lash out of your eye or lense. It will irritate the hell out of your eye.
