jbug, u r correct. Had an Asian man tell the judge yesterday he did not believe in our justice system. Judge said ok but you are not leaving. He was there when I left at 530pm. I laughed out loud. Another guy got up in the beginning and declared every excuse the judge said was excusable. He got picked for jury. It is not the serving...it is the process. so drawn out.
Yeah I know, but this was way before mom got sick. I actually would like to sit in a jury one day, but the timing last time I had it was at the worst time possible (work wise).
Something else I remember about that day. There was a man in the jury pool with me who was obvious middle Eastern descent. When the attorneys were questioning him, he said he could not sit on a jury, because it was against his religion to cast judgement on other people....I scratched my head a bit on that one.....
All you gotta say is you dont like the guy and they will send you home.
It's a little more involved than that....
