My wife works in a very large office complex with lots of tall buildings. The building next to hers has the cafeteria for the other surrounding bldgs within a very large atrium. Apparently some dude decided it was his time to check out. Eyewitnesses saw him take his glasses off and his access badge, lay them down, get on the rail, and swan dive 8 stories straight down. Oh yeah, it was just before 1PM....right in the middle of lunch hour rush.
On any other ordinary day my wife would have been in there. But we had a meeting this afternoon so she skipped lunch. They locked the building(s) down until all info was gathered and caused her to be late to our meeting as they weren't letting anyone leave

Helluva way to go out. I could think of a ton of better ways to take the cowards way out

Glad your wife didn't have to witness that. I just can't imagine thinking that would be the best way out.

That's really sad. The best way to go is when the Lord calls you home in His time and not yours. Suicide is such a selfish act.

I'm glad she was not there to see what happened. Those are things that can stick in your mind for a long time.

That's a permanent solution to what is usually temporary problems. Sorry for the guys family and the folks who had to see it. Glad your wife wasn't one of them. Someone hitting the ground from that height is not as "clean" as they make it look on TV or movies. It's pretty gruesome.
