I replied to a PM from someone here explaining that same thing, at least when it comes to the money end of it. Besides that you just never know how hard someone really was on a truck. Its a truck.

Used Tacoma...hardest for me to sell if someone focusin on price not quality.

I hear ya on that I never knew much about them until I started researching and that old motor is supposedly indestructible. Some people had 300k miles on there's and a few people commented how they forgot to do oil changes for many thousands of miles and it would still run with little oil.

It's hard to have an unbiased opinion but how has that 5.7 been holding up?

I have not seen any odd issues with the 5.7 lit or the 4.6 lit v8....or the V6 for that matter..I think Toyota has got the engine part down, the price is all that usually needs work. The only thing with the 5.7 is the power from the start. I think they need work with the throttle system to accomodate a smoother take off, its kinda jumpy from the start.

Look up Youtube...to kill a TOyota..BBC show takes a Tacoma and tries to kill but cant..pretty good watch.

If Toyota would bring the 2.5L Turbo Diesel Tacoma/Hilux's here I'd buy one in a heartbeat. THAT is an indestructable truck.

Hell, I wish Ford would bring their Ranger with the Turbo Diesel here. If the Afghan's can keep it running, it's a tough truck.
