One of my friends called me to ask if I knew anything about lands out in Golden Gates (west of SR-29 on North side of I-75). He said he found some land out there away from houses at what seems to be reasonable price. He wants to buy some land out there mostly to take his family out like I do on our property. He said if he buys the property I can come hunt on his property but I have no idea if that's feasible. I know people can shoot out there in their property and I guess if they have necessary license they can hunt too but do people hunt out there? Are there any games out in that area? I've driven by there many times (I-75 and SR29) but I've never actually driven into the Golden Gates area.
I don't know much about the area but I think there is a WMA right there. I think there are a few leases not far from there too. I've heard complaints of panthers in the area also. If he sees one and reports it you won't be hunting there for long. Just sayin
I know there is a Federal Panther Refugee near there because I see the billboard when driving accross the I-75 or up SR29.
He said the property is almost 21 acres (6 plots) and is a little more than mile west of the "test track"... where ever that is.
