Kemster, That is why Private leases have rules, 99.9% don't allow drinking and those that do it is restricted to after the hunt around the campfire. This was not a case of drinking at all so that is not even really in this discussion. Kem, you are right, basic hunting 101, ID your target, know what is beyond and if you are not 100% sure, don't take the shot. well said
just like gun control, you can make all the rules/laws you want, law breakers and slob hunters are not gonna follow them.anybody ever go hunting and NOT seen litter and beer bottles, on public or private? I believe some clubs/leases are better run/enforced and obeyed than others, and some are downright outlaw groups. if anyone truly believes there are not people out there that drink while hunting, whether on public or private land, I have a bridge for sale.
Kemster, guess you have to have the money and desire for private land, Trucks, equipment and rules or other people get jealous and poach from you, then there might be an accidental shooting on Private leases...lol
I DO have a 4x4 p/u truck AND access to private land, AS IF THAT OR MONEY MAKES ANY DIFFERENCE ABOUT ANYTHING! and there are still trespassers and poachers. and I doubt the wife and family of the hunter just shot would think an accidental shooting is "LOL". VERY POOR TASTE AND TIMING! AND i WILL URGE YOU * YET AGAIN * IF YOU HAVE ANY DIGS OR CHEAP SHOTS TO MAKE, DO IT IN PRIVATE IN, A PM!
Ive did notice that Higher prices leases will have less idiots and law breakers.. But theres bad apples in every basket!
