I drove to a local business that sold toppers and they took it off for me and sold it for me as consignment. It sat there for a few weeks before it sold. But I got what they suggested was a decent price for it. And they took only a little for a fee.
I almost takes a lift to get the cap off I watched them put one on my sons truck and he said its weight was like 350 lbs (all fiberglass) and it was a double sided sticky tape. The tech said wd 40 and lift to get it loose.
As GoodOyster suggested (and others mentioned here) it was a rubber (sticky) gasket. I was able to do it this morning. My neighbor helped carrying it. Now I need to stop by a topper place and check if they'll take it on consignment. Or, if anyone here knows someone looking for one send him my way. I'll let it go cheap. :rockon
Thanks for the tip.
Looks cool. Youll miss it tho. Trust me what you put back there now will be different then before and your back seat will be full from now on!

I won't be using that one for now. I'm sending the truck to my son in Ft. Riley until he deploys to Afghanistan next August. We sold the black Chevy as he was suppose to go to Germany, but ended up in Kansas in preparation for deployment (the price of being a "Boom Boom" noise maker operator- AKA Paladin cannon). When I get it back, I'll leave it at the lease.
