My siding is from 83 still good? On the side that doesn't get sun it grown green and you have to wash the house every year.
Is the house block? if not the stucco may be hiding a more serious problem,if it cracking and falling off.
By the way inspect your SS flex hoses on your washing machine or your hot water heater. I just had one blow that was only 5 years old.

My parents built our house in 1970. It has Alcoa aluminum siding on all the gable ends and second story. As well as aluminum wrap around soffit and fascia. Still looks like brand new

aluminum is the way to go if affordable. lasts forever.
