Just was venting since all i got to talk to is my 2 children (who don't understand) or my wife who hears me talking bout it all day!

Not trying to be a smart ass but have you made any money after paying yourself and the cost of the business yearly? Do you have a 20% or higher net after you pay yourself and all business expenses? If not, you may want to regroup. A small business that doesn't net over 20% after everything is paid is just spinning its wheels. You can't compete with the big boys with a net profit of less than 20% overall, meaning budding big work at a lower margin to get it and having a larger margin on residential-smaller jobs. A lot of guys have been in business a long time and have never made any money, just paid bills and live an average life. If you don't pay yourself a check weekly or biweekly after everything business related is paid for you are working in your business, not on business. Huge difference. Good luck.

Spend a week finding reputable contractors to work for and set the stage up front, if they can't pay you in net 21 days or less you can't afford to work for them. Simple math. Even when I had 100k line of credit, if the contractor couldn't pay in net 21 or less we didn't work for them any longer. If they pay on time they won't play bull shit games with you like these jokers have....
You know the old saying,"Things could be worse and they got worse"? As bad as things get, each of us has so much to be thankful for, especially at this time of the year. You mentioned wife and kids...enjoy them, the other dude has to sleep with his conscience if he has one.
