Man i got my labs back and im actually a little scared.
Trig: 348 Normal is <40-149>
LDL: 260 Normal is <0-99>
Total: 384 Normal is <120-199>
Man i so changed my diet. No red meat, only water, and cut out all high col foods. Guess its just hereditary. Im on Lipitor Now.
Hope i can bring it down.
Your cholesterol is very bad. I wouldn't worry about the trig, as they will come down easily with diet change. Mine were over 1000 at one time
You need to cut out refined sugars...bread, pasta, beer, soda, junk food, etc
I dont really drink beer on a daily basis, bread i only eat wheat, and i do not drink soda. I do have pasta here and there tho.
Hope the Lipitor works.
My father had numbers similar to your about 12 years ago.
He changed his diet completely and exercised 2 hours each day (1 hr in the morning and 1 hr in the evening). After about 18 months he lost about 30 lbs. and his numbers were all within normal range.
He's kept it up for 10+ years without medication.
Well from what im told if its in your genes only meds can regulate it because i did a total over haul on my diet the past year.
