Gargoyle, I'd say it's a baby gopher turtle.

HOWEVER...I could probably get a job as an FWC biologist because I'm just guessing and really don't have clue.....

There is a creek and retention pond down road. They dont bother me just curious

when a 'dilla digs he leaves a tail mark in the pile of dirt. I am having raccoon problems digging. caught one, now got another. both dig narrow and deep. I had a gopher turtle go under my slab in the garage. It left on it's own accord but the mouth of the hole was quite large. You can usually see the bottom of coon and dilla holes. tortoise or moles holes go on forever.

moth balls down the holes aren't too homey for them.
