OK now you officialy sound like Granny Clampett,J.K.not to be argumentative, and most of my relatives hadn't made it to this country yet but didn't the South fire the first shots. I think war for Southern independence might sound more PC. I doubt the Yanks called it the war of northern aggression, and I'm sure the yanks had other words for it as well like rebellion or treason, not looking to start anything, I've got no reason to favor one side or the other, just trying be objective.we used to fly the confederate flag at our property in Colo and considered that it stood for freedom, it's a shame how now it is looked on as racism.

Its all good....just havin a little fun.....dont feel so bad about it....everybodys got to be from somewhere.....we cant all be lucky enough to be southern born.. :oops ....just kiddin again....
I agree about it not being entirely about slaves, but it wasn't exactly the north vs the south it was more like the confederate states vs the union and states on both sides weren't all in the north or south, for ex Kansas,Arkansas Colo, Texas etc. some kinda straddled the borders of north/south and some were mid west and others west of the Mississippi
just sayin, it was about ideas, not geographic location and often knew no lines and split states and families.
