Here's a pretty interesting fact about Florida also- The confederates never lost a battle in Fl and Tallahassee was the only Southern capital to remain under Confederate rule at the end of the war. Olustee and natural bridge were the two battles. I've shot wood ducks near natural bridge plenty of times.

Yes...actually for quite a while...became the 27th state in 1845.....and the war you are referring to, also known as "the war of northern aggression" was 16 years or so later.
