$20 on a recoil pad is worth every penny.
BTW I think I am fixin to pull the trigger(no pun intended) on a .308. Always wanted one and I know where there is a savage at a good price
I'm definitly gonna get one, just curious abot the spray foam and if it would work.
I'm having that done to my blunderbuss now, but foam is too light. epoxy or fiberglas would be better and you can add some lead shot sewn in little bags to add more wt and help it soak up more recoil. just don't fill it completely, unless you you are sure you will not need room to get a screwdriver or other tool in there for stock removal or something else. I can't stand that hollow sound when you knock on the stock of a composite/plastic rifle.
