So I went out today for my first big game hunt. Went to Lake Monroe WMA, more people were there than I thought would be on a Thursday morning. So I'm hiking throught the palmetto scrubs and hear a hog moving, so i click off the safety and wait for this thing to come out in the opening. A minute pass and about 300ft from me a shot goes off, oh by the way this hog is probably 50ft from me. So I went to go help the guy find the hog, but he missed it. Deciding that I almost got shot today I would go ahead and call it a day, plus that was the only hog I heard all day.
Be careful out there man.... Dammm, I would have shit myself..
Glad you came out ok.... The interior of that place is not very safe, low visibity and hard to manuever. It doesn't surpise me that happened but hate to hear it happened to you. They should open the driveways off of 415 so that hunters can enter that WMA at different locations. Perhaps people wouldn't get so bunched up in there.
