So I went out today for my first big game hunt. Went to Lake Monroe WMA, more people were there than I thought would be on a Thursday morning. So I'm hiking throught the palmetto scrubs and hear a hog moving, so i click off the safety and wait for this thing to come out in the opening. A minute pass and about 300ft from me a shot goes off, oh by the way this hog is probably 50ft from me. So I went to go help the guy find the hog, but he missed it. Deciding that I almost got shot today I would go ahead and call it a day, plus that was the only hog I heard all day.

Yeah there were 3 trucks, so I knew the risk walking in, just didn't think it would actually happen. Ironically it was the same guys I pulled in behind. We all had orange on. I didn't see or hear them and he had no clue I was there until I offered to help him look for the hog. I also love being the only car in the parking lot.
Would have sharted on me, the hog,and the guy that shot after that one!
