My in-laws have 2 labs. A chocolate male and a yellow female.
So yesterday FIL stopped in his vets office to pick up some food and other stuff. They were elated to see him as they were ready to go call him.
Apparently they had a lab on the operating table for emergency surgery surgery and the dog needed a blood transfusion or it would die from blood loss.
They asked if there was any way he could go get the dogs and bring them up there for blood typing. He said sure, he would be back in 15 minutes.
He brought the dogs up there and they did a quick blood typing, and both dogs matched the injured dog.
Each dog gave a blood donation and saved the life of the injured dog
They gave my FIL free dog food for a year 😯

The dogs didn't have a choice! 😆 Nobody asked them if they wanted to donate. I wonder if they got asked the same kind of questions we get asked before we can donate?
1) Have you been out of the country in the last 3 years?
2) Have you had any tattoos or piercings in the last 18 months?
3) Have you paid to have sex, even once?
4) Have you had sex with someone of the same sex, ever?
5) Have you humped the leg of anyone who could answer "yes" to questions 1-4?
