Unfortunately 4 days wait for an mri because I have to go out of town for work. And, unfortunately the bp is still high. Took it today in my hotel room and it's 181/130. Doctor told me all the bp meds have to build up in my system and the only way to bring it down quickly is nitrates, but then it's hard to tell if regular meds will be affective.

with continued b/p that high you WILL have a stroke, it's just a matter of time. then you can call in to work dead. take your head out of your butt and go to the hospital.

Trust me I know. Sadly if I miss these few days I say goodbye to my job. It's a one time class given once a year. If I don't take it I have to take a HUGE demotion. Like 40k a year demotion. It's been a struggle and I try to stay calm about it. I am rolling the dice that I can hold out til the meds kick in. The way I figure..
Skip the classes and go to the hospital 100% chance I live and 0% chance of keeping my home and supporting my kids
Go to the classes and 99% chance I live and support my kids.
That 1% chance kinda gets to me a little, but I gotta roll the dice and try not to worry about the 1%
Btw.. I have the lousiest job ever that pays well to practically own my soul. It's hard where I live to find a 65k a year job with nothing more than an associates degree and no formal skill in any trade. Never let anyone you love enter retail... ever.
