There were comments in the thread looking for a couple recommendations about ethanol fuel. I decided I wanted to give my two cents about the topic but there wasn't the right place. Ethanol fuel is just watered down gas, nobody wants watered down beer so why is it ok to water down the fuel we use? (that was rhetorical by the way) You get worse milage off of it it screws up engines and it messes with the economy. The government gives farmers a tax break for growing corn so therefore more farmers are going to grow corn since it is more profitable. This raises prices on other vegtables at the local market because there are now less of the other crops. Ethanol is all around a horrible idea and should be removed from our gas stations and our lives. Oh one last thing, I saw something on the news that they were going to increase up to 15% ethanol; It is currently at up 10%. Thanks for reading my rant enjoy your day ladies and gents.

yep.. had to take in my chain saw to get carb cleaned. sucks. my truck EVP valve got jammed up and had to replace it.. It used to throw the gas back out the dam truck right at you.. Burned the paint off the side of my truck (after two years of this crap) i finally paid the 200 bucks and fixed it.. Sucks.

Ethanol damage so far for me(that I can remember):

Boat-$375
Cleaning the fuel system, draining fuel tank, cleaning, new fuel line, new fuel/water separator, new plugs

Lowes brand blower-Trashed, in the dumpster. Would no longer run

HD brand name blower- See above

Stihl backpack blower- No issues yet

HD brand weeedeater-Trashed, in the dumpster

ATV- taken to a friend 3 different times to have clogged jets cleaned. Only way it will run smoothly is with Seafoam

Push mower-runs like crap as we speak

Truck- lost approx 3-4mpg and it runs like crap

+ it's cheaper to make gas than ethanol anyway. in the long run it's cheaper for me to take the drive over to bkvl (less than 20 miles for me) and buy a couple gallons of ethanol free for small engines and as a treat for the car/truck now and again as the price of seafoam is 10$. anybody try putting the seafoam in their oil? it says it does your motor good also.

I just got a new boat and motor, the local gas station close to my house just started carrying non ethanol fuel, after the problems I had caused by ethanol on my previous motor, I'll gladly pay the extra cost.
