You did the right thing. I think everything will be alright with just the new seal. I've screwed up alot of stuff, but never a trasnfer case before. I've busted a u-joint off the front driveshaft though!

well i mean shoot it cant leak.. lol.. new seal..

put it in 4 wheel and 4 low and it ran normal.. no crazy noises. so i guess its ok. ill check the seal tomorrow.. if its gonna mess up it would of messed up in 4lo today.
