You have to be 21 to purchase a handgun, but you can legally own and use one after you are 18. Will your parents buy a gun for you?

I may have my parents purchase one for me but do they need to have a ccp? I'm going to look at glocks or 1911's for comp. So if I'm driving to a competition with the pistol in a case, unloaded with a trigger lock I should be fine? just incase I get pulled over.

only need a ccp to CARRY CONCEALED. it's your right under the U.S. constitution to own firearms. I'd recomend starting with 22 cal and working up, baby steps.

So I'd be able to take it to a local shooting range and shoot it without them giving me problems correct? just want to be sure before I start
