How about this.....let's pretend the defense didn't say a single thing. None of the molestation stories, none of the pool drowning stories, etc..etc. Pretend the ONLY thing presented in this case was the prosecutions evidence.
Now...what piece of that evidence PROVES that she was the one that killed her? Which piece of evidence?
There's not a SINGLE thing that PROVES she did it without a reasonable doubt.
THAT is why the verdict was Not Guilty. Did she do it? NONE OF US KNOW. You don't KNOW 100%. I don't know 100%.
Based on the evidence that was presented......the verdict is correct. Regardless of what really happened, they did NOT prove that she did it without a reasonable doubt.
For this reason, the court system WORKED.

I would really love to hear from the jurors as to how they came to their decision. I would have hung that jury
I'd be surprised if we hear from any of the jurors anytime soon. As repulsive as her behavior was in the days after that baby being gone, it does not PROVE her guilt. I'm sure the jurors were reminded constantly that emotions could not play a part in their decision and that they had to rely on facts - which the prosecution did not bring forth in a sufficient manner. First degree murder is something you have to have your ducks in a row on, BEFORE you go into the courtroom. For all we know, those jurors may feel just as sh!tty about their decision as a lot of the public do.
Personally, I think she is a slimy b*tch who will get what is coming to her in the end. It won't be up to us.
Unfortunately she will most likely get some fame and fortune out of this. And her lawyers will probably get most of it anyways. Think she will ever get a job? I'm waiting to hear about a porn deal being offered to her.
Hopefully civil suits and wrongful death suits by the family will keep her tied up in the court system for years to come
