Thanks guys for the help I will let you know what I get. I was looking at the Bear Strike and Bass Pro sells a RTH version for $499 and the only thing left I think I need is arrows.

That should be a good choice. Especially if this is your first bow.
Check out the Fall flyer for Bass Pro. They have a good deal on arrows right now. Buy some now and then have them cut after you get your bow. Good way to save some cash for something else!

Well I didn't get my bow in August, but I will be getting it sometime between next week and the end of the month. I am debating between the Bear Charge and Bear Encounter. The charge is clearanced to 319.00 for the RTH (they aren't making them anymore). The Encounter is its replacement with a couple of upgrades for 400.00. Also any advice on broadheads would be welcomed. I am thinking about getting the guillotine for spring turkey.

If you are looking for a good bow look at Hoyt! They have really good bows and package deals. Make sure you pick one out that fits you. But honestly get the best you can afford cause if you buy a cheap and never are able to get it tuned just right or make it feel comfortable then it could ruin your whole experience and may turn you away from the great world of archery!
