Serpatarium(sp?) would have paid big bucks for that snake. One that size puts out two or three times the venom of a normal size rattler.

Yep, I know a guy that would have started the bidding at about a grand.
My dad and I used to sell to him too. Ive caught more cottonmouths than most people have ever seen. Used to get like $5/foot for them. And we got like $3/foot for water snakes. Used to do it every weekend in the summer on the Hillsborough river
Also used to catch and sell flying squirrels for $3/head regardless of size
