looks like they are a bit smaller and more productive, dont think it said much about potency other than they are alot more aggressive which = bad news
You do not get stung by "A" africanized bee. You get stung by many. Trust me. I have seen them in action. Its actually quite hard to get stung by bees. You must of pissed him off good. I have treated colonies inside of walls with them dive bombing me and never really worried about it. Now yeller jackets, on the other hand...Im bustin out the bee suit.
Me and a friend did a bee job several years back, and there was no doubt they were africanized. They put our azzes in the truck and were kamikaze bombing the windows. We had to bale out and go back at like 9:00 at night to take care of it
I rarely deal with bees anymore. They have turned into a PR nightmare for bug guys. People want them out of their homes, but don't want them killed at the same time. I usually just refer bee work out to the experts unless it is someone I know
Now killing a yellow jacket nest in the ground is fun as heck. Nothing like watching 5,000 YJ's perish to death in a pool of cypermethrin :devil2
