Me and my partner started a 200ft wood fence on Sat, took Sun off, and planed on finishing it today. Well this morning we turned on the road and all i saw was about 10 embarq vans. My heart hit the floor, I knew exactly what happened. :censored: :censored: :censored: On our last hole we hit a main phone line cutting off 50 homes. :censored: :censored: :censored: And I didn't call before I dug it. Well they are coming back tomorrow with a track hoe to dig it up and fix it. We went ahead and finished the last 120ft and got paid + a couple hundred dollar tip  To bad it will all probably go back to embarq + a bunch more. :censored: :censored: :censored: I can't win lately :pissed: glad he payed me before the heavy equipment showed up luckily he wasn't home when all this was going down!!!
man one for me something like can happen.. if im doing a nail down and hit a under floor heater pipe. Some people have heated sub floors so when their rich asses wake up they can put their feet on a warm floor. sometimes a customer wont tell you they have that and ill go and shoot a 2.5 inch staple and come back in the morning and see a flooded room.. lol.. thank god knock on wood that never happened to me.. but it has happened to people i know.
Man that sucks.
I know the feeling. I hit a water main with a hammer drill one day. And it was a Friday before the opening day of gun season
that sucks john, i know people that have hit some large bundles, wayyy bigger than that, and that was with locates. we have a water main break tomorrow morning and are waiting on FPL and there locates. thankfully i have never hit anything i couldn't fix. mostly just other plumbing lines. thats still a crappy feeling. hope they dont get you too bad.
