Nice shots... I've been wanting to try biltong. I see it on ebay, but don't think it's the same as the african biltong.

I found the biltong to be too dry for my taste. The true biltong has no seasoning on it either. Just dried meat, and when I say dry I mean it has zero moisture in it. When you bite into it it sort of comes back to life with the moisture in your mouth as it crumbles almost into powder. I ate plenty of beef biltong over there as well.

Looks like yall had a good trip. Pray that the mission part of the trip was a big hit and some received the LORD

Yes the mission part was amazing and took most of our time. The men helped the locals build a "care point" that serves the orphan children meals and teaches them basic schooling and also about God. We also re-built a wood shed for another care point because the one they were using was being broken into and all the firewood for cooking was being stolen. We rebuilt the roof and walls and added a door with a lock for the ladies who work there. I also had the opportunity to teach the Gospel at a prison to about 100 or so young men ages 16-20. We had 5 come forward to receive Christ. We gave them bibles and prayed with them. One of the guards is a Christian and was quite touched by the service. We gave him a bible as well and he asked us to continue to pray for him and the young men at the prison in Manzini. The ladies held a women's conference at a church in Simunye. We also did some repairs at Good Shepard Hospital in Siteki at the children's ward. This was possibly the most difficult time for most of the team as the children were very sick or had wounds that looked terrible. One little boy had been bitten by a cobra and his leg was all swollen and festered. Another little girl had been burned from her waste down and was screaming for most of our time there from the pain. A lot of the team broke down at points and had to go outside to regain their emotions so we could continue. God bless you and your team! What a wonderful way to show His love.

The pics of Kruger bring back fond memories. We lived about a mile from the park, in Phalaborwa, and we visited it from end to end over the 18 months we lived there. I have hours of old movies on Super 8 film that I really need to convert to digital format.

South Africa has a special place in my heart, as I was saved and baptized there. I also caught my first Florida largemouth bass from a farm pond there. They had stocked the pond a couple of years before and the bass were doing well.
